+ Cupping Therapy + Massage

Enjoy the best of both worlds with massage and cupping. Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine used for pain management, inflammation and relaxation, feeling similar to a deep-tissue massage. Through the use of vacuum pressure, the therapist places cups on the body to activate blood circulation, manipulate the fascia and drain lymphatic fluid. Depending on your body constitution and treatment goals, the therapist may choose to use fire cups, pump-suction cups or silicone cups. Cupping therapy may be beneficial for back pain, muscle aches and tightness, certain types of swelling, stress tension and the common cold.

A 60-minute cupping treatment is a cupping only treatment for a specific area or a full body treatment. A 90-minute cupping treatment includes a Meridian Rebalancing protocol in addition to cupping for a specific area. Depending on your current body constitution, the amount of time the cups remain may vary.

+ TMJ Massage

TMJ Massage is a massage treatment for jaw pain related to Bruxism (jaw clenching + grinding) and Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Dysfunction.

The masseter muscle is the primary chewing muscle, it covers the sides of the jaw just behind the cheeks and is also the muscle that clenches the jaw and grinds the teeth.

This session includes an assessment, outer and intra-oral massage, and can help reduce night time teeth grinding, jaw tension, pain, and headaches related to these issues.

Depending on the severity and symptoms, multiple treatments may be needed to normalize potential nervous system influence and muscular or ligamentous tension.
