At Omega, we embrace each season as an opportunity to visit seasonal practices to nourish one’s body, mind, and spirit. Each season brings its own healing and by tuning into nature’s rhythms we are more likely to experience harmony.

This year, our summer season has been a mix of global issues coming to our doorstep, while also, finding a groove amidst the changes. While Summer is delightful, it’s often busy, especially for us Calgarians who fit in so much in so little time!

When Autumn arrives, it’s a timely reminder that now’s a good time to slow down, sip teas and soups, and find peace in nature to reflect upon high things.

Vanilla Rooibos

1 tsp red rooibos 
½ tsp vanilla
1 tsp dried elder flower
1 tsp toasted shredded coconut
1 c of freshly boiled water

Potato, Leek & Tomato Soup

This potato leek tomato soup is an easy to make, flavorful puréed soup that uses everyday ingredients and is healthy and comforting.

  • 2 TB butter

  • 1 TB olive oil

  • 3 leeks

  • 1 can stewed tomatoes with juices

  • 3 c chicken broth 

  • 1 pd Yukon Gold potatoes peeled and diced

  • 2 cloves garlic minced

  • 1/2 c heavy/whipping cream

  • Salt & pepper to taste
