CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle hands-on therapy that supports the body's natural rhythms and innate healing processes.

By facilitating the body's natural and innate healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease and is effective for helping people with a wide range of healthcare challenges associated with pain and dysfunction, including Migraines, Chronic Back and Neck Pain, TMJ Disorder, Fibromyalgia and other Connect Tissue Disorders.  CranioSacral Therapy uses a gentle, light touch Osteopathic technique that releases tensions deep in the body to free it from pain and discomfort. The session is done on a massage table fully clothed (loose clothing preferable). The touch is oftentimes no more than the weight of a nickel and is very relaxing.

Omega’s knowledge-based treatments combine eastern and western approaches – with a highly trained team and professional service, the Omega experience immerses clients in the natural world of healing and wholeness.

CranioTherapy is offered only by Shauna Brausse, RMT at this time.

Note: Shauna exclusively offers advanced CranialSacral therapy and shiatsu including orthopedic techniques and does not provide massage therapy.

Shiatsu is perpendicular pressure applied to specific points on the body called acupressure points. This directs the body to release tension and decrease stress allowing muscles as well as internal functions to return to normal after trauma. CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle hands-on therapy that supports the body's natural rhythms and innate healing processes. Both treatments are perfect for achieving overall postural balance when dealing with points of pain and injury: Tired desk workers, overworked labourers and impact injuries alike respond well to Shauna's unique approach to healing – including digestion issues, fibromyalgia, scoliosis and those who are sensitive to the depth of pressure. Her practice of Shiatsu began on Vancouver Island in 2004, in addition to massage, she’s trained in Osteopathic methods.
